Fighting Poverty Through Fish

So far we've supported over 60 families across Navivi & Savusavu in Fiji and Vava'U in Northern Tonga.

Who we are

We are a New Zealand based Non-profit Charitable Organisation collecting used fishing and freediving equipment and sending it to impoverished coastal communities in the Pacific Islands to better their subsistence lifestyles.

Run by two young, Auckland blokes who live for the love of fishing and believe there should be equal opportunities for all, especially those that are in poverty and fish for subsistence.

Our mission is to 'provide and educate for equal, sustainable fishing opportunities worldwide.'

What we do:

Collect quality second-hand fishing and freediving equipment, collate it all, package it up to be shipped through our freight partners and distributed across remote fishing villages and communities in the Pacific Islands.

How we do it:

We manage collection points in fishing stores across the North Island. You simply leave your old gear in these bins, we pick it up and sort through it to ensure it's suitable to be shipped for use in the Pacific Island's. The generously donated equipment is then distributed by our partners on the ground in Fiji and Tonga, to families who are in need of equipment to support their livelihoods.

Take a look at what was our first delivery of equipment in July 2015.

We always have goals in the pipeline. Follow them here.
